The Five Elements Within: How Nature Inspires My Design Philosophy

“Rooted in earth, touched by water, warmed by fire - the essence of Living On ThEdge, LLC.”

There’s something timeless about standing at the edge of water, the sun warming your skin, feet sinking gently into the sand. At that moment on the beach, with the water lapping just below my knees, I felt fully present — connected not only to the earth beneath me but also to every element around me.

This connection runs deep in my life and in my work as the Founder of Living On ThEdge, LLC. My design philosophy is rooted in the ancient wisdom of Feng Shui and the Five Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each represents more than nature; they embody energies and qualities that bring spaces — and lives — into balance.

🌱 Wood symbolizes growth, new beginnings, and decision-making. It’s the driving force behind my creative vision, whether guiding clients to refresh their spaces or helping them embrace change.

🔥 Fire reflects my passion and spontaneity. As a Sagittarius, I bring that warmth into my designs — curating spaces that energize and inspire, igniting a flow that feels aligned, restorative, and beautiful.

🌍 Earth grounds me. It’s my nurturing, motherly side that ensures every consultation considers not just beauty but also comfort, safety, and flow.

💎 Metal is my clarity and refinement. It shows in the way I plan, organize, and bring elegance to each detail.

🌊 Water is where I find adaptability and depth. Like water, I move with ease between different design challenges and life’s changes, bringing calm and harmony where it’s needed most.

Standing in that clear water, I realized: I am all five elements. My work reflects this balance — guiding clients to create environments where energy flows freely and every corner supports their vision for life or business.

This philosophy isn’t about trends or perfection. It’s about intention. Every home, every office, every space has its own story. At Living On ThEdge, my role is to help clients rewrite that story with design that feels aligned, restorative and beautiful.

Because the right energy in your space nurtures how you live with grace, work with purpose, and thrive fully.

We are at our best when our environments reflect all that we are: growing, passionate, grounded, refined, and flowing — just like nature itself.
